Experience
I have been in private practice since 2023, and I currently work with individuals and couples with a wide variety of concerns including anxiety, post-traumatic stress, relationship issues, harmful behaviours, bereavement, neuro-diversity and Gender, Sexual and Relationship Diversity exploration.
I am also qualified to work with children and young people, having achieved the required experience to be recognised as an Accredited CYP Therapist by NCPS. I hold an enhanced DBS and regularly update my safeguarding training.
My younger clients have included exam-anxious youngsters and those presenting with harmful behaviours, children who have been affected by serious violence, neuro-diversity and GSRD exploration, care-experienced & involuntarily displaced young people and school non-attenders.
My experience has been gained in the NHS, 3rd Sector Organisations, Educational Settings and my Private Practice.
In addition, as a former boarder, I have taken additional training in working with clients who currently attend or have previously attended boarding school, and/or their partners. In this particular area, I am guided by the work of Nick Duffell, the well-respected researcher and author.
I also take a keen interest in social responsibility, and work to oppose discrimination and promote social justice. As a member of National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society I am firmly committed to operating within their Code of Ethical Practice.
